Our Team

Nasouh AlRayyes

Nasouh is currently working on his PhD on tether modelling on Lie groups and manifolds, and on observer design for airborne wind energy systems.

Ahmad hably

Professor at Lyon 1 university, Ahmad has been working on airborne wind
energy systems for +12y, and brings his experience and expertise in
robotics and tethered drones as well as their control laws.

Daniele Astlofi

CNRS researcher at Lyon 1 university, Daniele brings his expertise in nonlinear control and observation.

Ulysse Serres

Associate professor at Lyon 1 University, Ulysse brings his expertise in Lie theory and automatic control

Lucien Perisse

Technician expert in mechanics of various machines, notably of sewing machines, Lucien is helping us to design and build the spooling system on the ground station.

Tanguy Simon

Associate professor at Lyon 1 university, Tanguy supervises the project, working on prototype design as well as modelling and control.

Former members of the project

Special thanks to all those who contributed actively to this project!

Pierrick Lienard

Pierrick worked on this master thesis with us, programming the micro-controllers, the Rasperry Pi and designing a PCB for the ground station.

Arthur Lemaître

One of our students from the Industrial systems and robotics department, Arthur designed the ground station main mechanical and electrical structure.

Abdelhadi bouachouche

One of our students from the Industrial systems and robotics department, Abdelhadi worked on sensor acquisition for the embedded sensor box on the kite.

Amal jemai

First member of the project, Amal designed the embedded sensor box for the kite, as well as working of the state of the art.
